Danish Guests at the Botai Settlement

On September 2, 2024, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” was visited by a writer from Denmark, Leonora Van Deurs.

Her visit took place as part of an exploratory tour dedicated to the culture, history, and landmarks of Kazakhstan. Leonora Van Deurs is the author of a historical fantasy book titled “Botai – Traces of Shadows.” This is her debut work, written in a popular style and primarily intended for a young audience. According to Leonora Van Deurs, the inspiration for her book came from the documentary trilogy “Equus: Story of the Horse,” released in 2019 (directed by Canadian filmmaker Niobe Thompson, with the participation of Kazakh producer Nurbol Baymukanov).

Actions against terrorism

On August 20, 2024, the staff of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” conducted a theoretical training session on the rules of conduct in the event of a terrorist threat.

Enterprise Code of Ethics

On August 19, 2024, a seminar was held at the Republican State Enterprise “State Museum-Reserve Botai” on the topic Enterprise Code of Ethics.”

The main purpose of the seminar was to promote anti-corruption practices among employees.

Archaeologist’s Day

On August 15, 2024, in celebration of Archaeologist’s Day (an informal professional holiday observed in several post-Soviet countries, including Kazakhstan), the Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’” of the Committee of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized an educational field trip for children from the “Center for Support of Children in Difficult Life Situations” of Aiyrtau District. The excursion took place in a protected natural area where ancient archaeological settlements, historical monuments, and the picturesque nature of Aiyrtau District in the North Kazakhstan Region are organically located.
