Monitoring the Condition of the Botai Settlement Territory
Each year, the spring season brings snowmelt and heavy precipitation, increasing the risk of flooding in areas located near rivers and water bodies. One of such places is the unique archaeological monument of the Eneolithic period — the Botai settlement, located in the village of Nikolskoye on the right bank of the Iman-Burluk River.
Protection and Rescue Operations
The main activity of the Department for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage sites during the winter period is the implementation of protection and emergency (rescue) operations.
Protective Measures
Staff of the Department for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Botai Museum-Reserve carry out ongoing protective measures and monitor the condition of dwellings within the protected zones of the Botai settlement, despite unfavorable winter weather conditions.
