Museum Lesson in Yelenovka Village, Akmola Region

On January 15, 2025, staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve organized an educational historical museum lesson for students of the secondary school in Yelenovka village, Zerenda district, Akmola region, dedicated to the Botai culture.

The staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve prepared a lecture on monuments of the Botai culture specifically for the students and presented an exhibition featuring artifacts and unique archaeological finds.

Essay Competition for Teachers

We announce an ESSAY competition among teachers of general education schools, lyceums, and secondary specialized educational institutions (colleges), with the issuance of an international certificate, on the topic “Botai – the Culture of the Great Steppe.”

Excursion

On December 23, 2024, staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve organized educational historical events on the topic “Botai – the Culture of the Great Steppe” at Secondary School No. 11 in Kokshetau, Akmola region, and Secondary School No. 2 in Krasny Yar village, Kokshetau city.

During the event, students were given a lecture and an exhibition dedicated to the Botai culture. The exhibition featured artifacts discovered at the Botai and Krasny Yar settlements, including a bone knife, a bone harpoon, and stone disc-axes, which were historically used for combat and service purposes.

On December 13, 2024, staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve organized a round table at Kishkenekol Secondary School No. 2 in Kishkenekol village, Ualikhanov district, North Kazakhstan region, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the topic “Cultural and Historical Achievements of the Botai Museum-Reserve and Independent Kazakhstan.”
