“Culture Without Borders”
From October 13 to December 31, 2024, the campaign “Culture Without Borders” was held in Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the campaign was to increase accessibility to cultural institutions for people with disabilities, ensure their participation in the cultural life of the country, and draw public attention to their needs.
“The Contribution of the Botai Culture to the Development of World Civilization”
On October 24, 2024, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an international scientific and practical conference online via the ZOOM platform on the topic “The Contribution of the Botai Culture to the Development of World Civilization,” dedicated to October 25 — Republic Day of Kazakhstan.
The adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Kazakhstan on this significant day made it possible in subsequent years to study the country’s historical science more thoroughly, deeply, and comprehensively.
From the Ancient Eras of the Great Steppe to the Modern History of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On October 23, 2024, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai,” in honor of October 25 — Republic Day, organized an exhibition at the Saumalkol Kazakh Secondary School entitled “From the Ancient Eras of the Great Steppe to the Modern History of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
Excursion for Students of Sergeyevka Village, Shal Akyn District
On October 22, 2024, the “Botai” museum-reserve was visited by students and teachers from the school of Sergeyevka village, Shal Akyn District, North Kazakhstan Region.
For the schoolchildren, an excursion was organized in the exhibition hall of the museum-reserve as well as at the Botai settlement site.
During the excursion, the students were provided with information about the Botai culture, the history of its research, as well as the preserved artifacts of the Eneolithic period.
Early Tools
Since 2022, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” has been running a club called “Young Archaeologist.”
The club helps school students improve their knowledge, develop patriotism, and foster respect for the past and the cultural values of our country, as well as the preservation of historical heritage.
Today, on September 24, 2024, as part of the “Young Archaeologist” club at the “Botai” museum-reserve, museum staff organized a lecture and exhibition for students of the secondary school of Aiyrtau village on the topic “Early Tools.”
The young archaeologists, while improving their theoretical knowledge in the field of archaeology, learn during the sessions how to identify and describe archaeological sites, as well as become familiar with the findings from the Botai settlement.
