Results of the Annual Republican Art Competition

The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” has summarized the results of the annual republican art competition on the topic “The Steppe of Arka – the Homeland of Horses.”

A total of 47 applications were submitted. Students from Kyzylorda, Kostanay, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, and Aiyrtau District took active part in the competition.

“Botai Culture: Preservation, Museification, Popularization, Achievements and Discussions”

On April 17, 2025, a field seminar titled “Botai Culture: Preservation, Museification, Popularization, Achievements and Discussions” was organized at the Botai settlement near Nikolskoye village in Aiyrtau District. The event was dedicated to the International Day for Monuments and Sites (April 18).

The purpose of the seminar was to study and promote the Botai culture as a phenomenon of the early Eneolithic period of Eurasia, its role in domestication processes, social structure, and modern scientific discussions, as well as to address key issues arising in the field of cultural heritage protection.
