Memorandum
On September 4, 2025, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” and the Tourism Association of North Kazakhstan Region signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The agreement is aimed at developing cultural tourism, preserving and promoting historical and cultural heritage, as well as advancing North Kazakhstan as a tourist center.
The memorandum was signed by Sabina Amirova, Director of the Botai Museum, and Vladimir Vitchenko, Head of the Tourism Association.
The parties agreed on joint promotion of tourism in the region, organization of joint events, mutual support in developing the tourism image, and improving service quality.
Memorandum
The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
This is a new step toward joint research, educational projects, the publication of scientific works, and the training of future specialists.
We believe that the alliance of science and culture will open up broad opportunities for the preservation and promotion of the invaluable heritage of the Botai civilization.
“Month of Ceramics” at the Botai Museum-Reserve
In the exhibition hall of the Botai Museum-Reserve, guided tours dedicated to the “Month of Ceramics” are being organized. Visitors will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the historical heritage of the Botai culture and the features of ancient ceramics.
During the tour, unique ceramic fragments discovered during archaeological excavations will be presented, along with information on the development of ceramic art and its contribution to human civilization.
“Ceramics of the Botai Culture: Material and Artistic Evidence of Antiquity”
The Botai Museum-Reserve announces that September 2025 has been declared the Month of Ceramics.
Throughout the month, thematic events will be organized at the museum:
- An exhibition of archaeological finds related to the ceramics of the Botai culture
- Master classes on the production of ceramic objects
- Lectures and discussions on the history of pottery

Excursion
On August 19, 2025, students from schools of the Shal Akyn District of North Kazakhstan Region visited the Botai Museum-Reserve.
An excursion was organized for the students in the museum’s exhibition hall. During the visit, museum staff shared information about the discovery, history, and research of the Botai culture. The students were also introduced to materials on the reconstruction of ancient Botai dwellings, the domestication of wild horses, and the ceramics of the Botai culture.
During the excursion, the students saw ancient tools and weapons used in everyday life by the Botai people and gained unforgettable impressions.
