“Рәміздері елімнің-бойтұмары жерімнің”
On June 2, 2023, the Botai State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve organized an excursion for students of Saumalkol Secondary School No. 1 on the topic “Рәміздері елімнің-бойтұмары жерімнің,” dedicated to the Day of the State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
First, the students were given a guided tour of the exhibition hall. Afterwards, they became acquainted with the history of the state symbols and received information about their use.
In addition, quiz questions about the symbols were organized in order to broaden the students’ understanding of their Motherland and native land, as well as to develop their knowledge of the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Archaeological Weekend at the Botai Settlement
On May 27–28, 2023, students and teachers of Secondary School No. 12 of the city of Kokshetau spent an archaeological weekend in the village of Botai near the village of Nikolskoye in the Aiyrtau District. The purpose of visiting the settlement was to spend a useful and interesting weekend outdoors. Together with their teachers, the students stayed on the bank of the Imantau-Burluk River in a picturesque area and set up tents at the campsite. In the evening, they lit a campfire and cooked food over the open fire. The staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve offered the guests an engaging and educational guided tour around the Botai settlement and the dwellings of the Botai culture.
Excursion
Today, on May 29, 2023, students of Karasev Secondary School of the Aiyrtau District of the North Kazakhstan Region visited the Botai Museum-Reserve and the Botai settlement. For the children, the staff of the museum-reserve conducted a thematic guided tour through the exhibition hall of the museum-reserve, as well as around the Botai settlement, introducing the students to ancient technologies for processing products and making tools. The children also had the opportunity to see the archaeological excavation site and received a great deal of interesting and useful information.
