"The use of stone raw materials in the paleometallic epoch".

From November 5-8, 2025, the international conference "The Use of stone Raw Materials in the Paleometallic Epoch" was held in the Russian Federation, in the city of St. Petersburg, at the Institute of the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The scientific staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve took part in the conference in an online format, presenting their reports. The conference areas covered various thematic blocks, including tracological analyses of stone tools from the ancient era, their manufacturing technology, as well as issues of the sacred significance of artifacts.

Young archaeologists — the first successes!

A little earlier it was already written that the Zhas Archeologist circle was organized in the Botai Museum-Reserve, the head of the circle is Yerlan Zhumabekovich Bukenov.

Yesterday, on November 7, in the regional center, young Botai residents passed their first "combat" test — they took part in the II Interregional Conference of Young Historians "History, Culture and prospects for the development of the regions of Kazakhstan through the eyes of young historians", where they presented their research projects to the jury.

Considering that the guys have been studying in the circle for only the second month, their results can be considered more than excellent!

"Archeology of Northern Kazakhstan: achievements and prospects"

The North Kazakhstan branch of the A. H. Margulan Institute of Archaeology organized a round table "Archeology of Northern Kazakhstan: achievements and prospects" dedicated to the study, preservation and popularization of the archaeological heritage of the region.

The event was attended by the Botai Museum Reserve, which presented materials reflecting the results of research and museum work.

During the meeting, new results of archaeological field research were presented, as well as books published based on the results of the work in 2023-2025.

The purpose of the round table is to share experiences between archaeologists, museum specialists, representatives of science, culture and education.

The event is held within the framework of the PCF project of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan BR24992951 "Archaeological heritage of Saryarka (from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages)".
