Today, on September 22, the Botai Museum-Reserve was visited by students of the 6th grade of Saumalkol Secondary School No. 1.

As part of the "Ceramics Month" campaign, the children got acquainted with unique ceramics from the Botai culture.

The students learned how ancient ceramics were made, what shapes and ornaments our ancestors used, as well as what ceramic products were used for in everyday life.

Such meetings help children not only to broaden their horizons, but also to feel connected with the history and cultural heritage of their region.

An expert's view

Dear friends!

The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Botai" continues the cycle of meetings "Expert's view".

On September 23, Marat Sailauovich Makeev, researcher at the Botai Museum–Reserve, will hold a conversation with Mambet Saparbekovich Shagirbaev, senior researcher at the A. H. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, head of the Zooarchaeology Laboratory, PhD candidate.

"At the junction of History and Labor"

On September 18, 2025, the Botai Museum-Reserve in the Khan Seri House of Culture (Ayyrtau district, S.Saumalkol) organized an exhibition "At the junction of History and Labor" dedicated to Labor Day as part of the Year of Working Professions.

The main purpose of the event is to increase the prestige and popularization of working professions, as well as the formation of respect for work and working people.

? The museum-reserve "Botai" in the State catalog "E-museum"!

As part of the seminar organized by the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Makpal Serikbekkyzy Almaganbetova, curator of the funds of the Botai Museum Reserve, participates in the work on filling the E-museum web portal.

The E-museum is a unified state catalog of museum collections in Kazakhstan, which collects information about thousands of exhibits.

The participants of the seminar learn how to add exhibits to an electronic database and fill out information efficiently in three languages — Kazakh, Russian and English.

This step will make it possible to present the unique heritage of the Botai culture internationally and to popularize our history more widely.
