As part of the celebrations dedicated to the 147th anniversary of the city of Kostanay, a visiting exhibition "Botai – culture of the Great Steppe" was held.

The exhibition features 139 archaeological artifacts made of stone, bone and ceramics. The visitors were also presented with themed artworks and a mock-up of an ancient settlement.

The guests of the exhibition got acquainted with the way of life, crafts and culture of the inhabitants of the Chalcolithic era, learned about the history of horse domestication.

Archaeological materials have made it possible to reveal more deeply the place and significance of the Botai culture in the history of the Great Steppe. The exhibition was also visited by foreign experts studying ancient cultures.

The program included workshops, educational and cultural events dedicated to the history and archaeological heritage of Kazakhstan.
