“The History of My Region in the History of My Country”

Today, a lecture-meeting with an expert was held at the Agrotechnical College in the village of Saumalkol, organized by the Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’.” The event took place on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was aimed at fostering patriotism, interest in history, and awareness of the value of our cultural heritage.

The program was attended by representatives of the college, public figures, students of the district, and young researchers, as well as students of the Higher Multidisciplinary College “Zeynep” from the village of Lobanovo.

Historian-expert E.Zh. Bukenov presented an overview of the key stages in the formation of independent Kazakhstan — from historical prerequisites to modern achievements.

With great interest, participants listened to the presentations of students and schoolchildren:
• “Ceramics and Ceramic Tableware of the Botai Culture”
• “Botai Dwellings as a Symbol of the Deep Roots of Kazakh Statehood” — Arina Kislovskaya
• “Amazing Discoveries: Ancient People and Mysterious Operations” — Ratmir Zhaksybayev and Arlan Murat
• “How Do Botai Amulets Reflect Their Worldview?” — Amirzhanova Danel and Yaniina Zalesskaya

Guests also watched a video dedicated to modern Kazakhstan — a country confidently developing while preserving its history.

A special interest was aroused by the quiz “Through the Pages of Independence,” where students were able to demonstrate their knowledge and receive well-deserved awards.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and congratulations on the upcoming Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

History is not only the past. It is our present and future. And today, the youth of the Aiyrtau district proved that interest in the heritage of their land is a strong foundation for the development of an independent Kazakhstan.
