From November 5 to 8, 2025, an international conference titled “The Use of Stone Raw Materials in the Paleometallic Era” was held in the Russian Federation, in the city of Saint Petersburg, at the Institute for the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The scientific staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve took part in the conference in an online format, presenting their reports. The thematic areas of the conference covered various sections, including traceological analyses of stone tools from ancient times, their manufacturing technologies, as well as issues related to the sacred significance of artifacts.

It should be noted that the conference continued for four consecutive days, during which the latest discoveries and achievements in world archaeology were discussed.
