Today, on September 30, 2025, in Secondary School No. 1 in the village of Saumalkol, Aiyrtau District, with the support of the Education Department of Aiyrtau District, staff of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” held a quiz titled “Botai – Culture of the Great Steppe” among school students of Aiyrtau District. Students of grades 9–10 took part in the quiz.

The event was organized in honor of the birthday and in memory of archaeologist and scholar, founder of Botai culture studies, Viktor Fyodorovich Zaibert.

During the quiz, students were asked questions about the history of the Botai settlement, unique artifacts discovered during excavations, the issue of the first domestication of the horse, as well as the contribution of Viktor Fyodorovich Zaibert to science. The participants demonstrated not only their knowledge but also shared interesting thoughts and reflections on the significance of historical heritage.

The students noted the global importance of the Botai culture and expressed special respect for the contribution of the scholar who dedicated his life to studying the history of his native land. The activity and curiosity of the youth clearly demonstrated their love for the history of their homeland.
