Teambuilding
On June 4, 2025, on the Day of the State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’” of the Committee of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized an excursion to the protected zone for children from the Center for Support of Children in Need of Special Social Services of Aiyrtau District. The area features ancient archaeological settlements, historical monuments, and the picturesque nature of Aiyrtau District in North Kazakhstan Region.
The staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve conducted a teambuilding event in an interactive and game-based format for the children’s recreation.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a traditional and ceremonial way to start important events, demonstrating respect for the state symbols.
In the opening speech, museum staff emphasized the importance of archaeology for the younger generation, noting that significant attention is currently being paid to archaeology, which, like science in general, is developing dynamically.
The participants were introduced to the process of archaeological excavations and the tools used by archaeologists. The young “archaeologists” learned excavation techniques and how to describe discovered finds and artifacts.
During the teambuilding, the children also participated in a master class conducted by museum staff on assembling, disassembling, and setting up a tourist tent and sleeping bag
The event continued with team competitions. The first contest was tent assembly and disassembly — an engaging and educational competition that provided participants with useful life skills. The children also took part in relay races, where team members successively completed stages, passing the turn to move along the course.
The teambuilding concluded with sports competitions in javelin throwing and simulated archery, followed by the awarding of winners. The event received positive feedback from the children of the Center. The participants showed great interest, agility, enthusiasm, and a strong will to win.
