On April 17, 2025, a field seminar titled “Botai Culture: Preservation, Museification, Popularization, Achievements and Discussions” was organized at the Botai settlement near Nikolskoye village in Aiyrtau District. The event was dedicated to the International Day for Monuments and Sites (April 18).

The purpose of the seminar was to study and promote the Botai culture as a phenomenon of the early Eneolithic period of Eurasia, its role in domestication processes, social structure, and modern scientific discussions, as well as to address key issues arising in the field of cultural heritage protection.

During the event, V.A. Iskrizhitsky, Chief Inspector of the Department for Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage, delivered a report for students and participants on “Ensuring the Preservation of the Archaeological Site of the Botai Culture (Botai Settlement).”

Participants also took part in an environmental campaign, “Spring Tree Planting Days,” during which pine saplings were planted in connection with the International Day for Monuments and Sites.
