Meeting with an Expert in Archaeological Traceology

Today, on July 2, 2024, a significant meeting took place at the Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’” of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan with an expert in archaeological traceology, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Researcher at the Institute for the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, N. N. Skakun.

During the discussion of priority tasks and directions related to the museification of the Botai culture, Natalia Nikolaevna shared valuable information and expertise in the field of traceology. Together with the staff of the “Botai” museum-reserve, key directions for international cooperation and collaboration were outlined, and the most relevant issues in reconstructing the lifestyle of the ancient Botai people were identified, based on upcoming traceological research.

As a scientist and expert, N. N. Skakun plans to hold a round table on July 4, 2024, in the village of Saumalkol on the topic Research on the Botai Culture and the Possibilities of Archaeological Traceology,” as well as to visit other historical and sacred sites of the Aiyrtau District in the North Kazakhstan Region.
