The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” is organizing the festival “Botai Pyragy – 2024,” dedicated to the Day of Culture and Art Workers.

Program of the festival:

• Traveling exhibition (from the collections of the “Botai” Museum-Reserve)
• Theatrical performance: the process of horse domestication
• Master class: making a ceramic vessel
• Theatrical performance: demonstration of leather processing
• Theatrical performance: production of stone discs
• Theatrical performance: preparation of kumys
• Theatrical performance: grinding herbs and plant roots
• Theatrical performance: archery demonstration
• Archaeological excavation simulation
• Master class: artifact processing
• Exhibition of paintings dedicated to the Botai culture from the collections of the North Kazakhstan Regional Museum Association
• Ethnographic exhibition from the collections of the Akmola Regional Museum of History and Local Lore
• Horse riding activities
• Tenge alu (coin grabbing on horseback)
• Audaryspak (horseback wrestling)
• Kyz kuu (horse racing game)
• Altybakan (traditional Kazakh swing)
• Trade areas (sale of drinks, baked goods, etc.)

• Sale of souvenirs
• Competitions in javelin throwing and archery
• Bolas throwing competition
• Awarding of participants with letters of appreciation
• Awarding of winners in javelin throwing and archery competitions
• Lighting of the Botai flame

Visitors will have the opportunity to try their hand at making a replica of ancient products, such as a ceramic vessel, and observe the process of artifact restoration.

Guests will also be able to take memorable photos during the theatrical performances.

The event will conclude with a concert program and a fire show.
