The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” of the Committee for Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan is organizing a republican drawing competition for the best artistic and conceptual depiction of artifacts of the Botai culture. The competition is dedicated to International Children’s Day, celebrated on June 1.

Participants of the competition: students of grades 5–8 from educational institutions.

Purpose of the competition: to foster a sense of patriotism and appreciation of the Botai culture among the younger generation, to increase interest in the history of the region, and to promote closer familiarity with the Botai cultural heritage. The competition also aims to develop and popularize fine arts among motivated students.

Submission period for creative works: from May 13 to May 27.
Announcement of results: June 1.

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS:

• The creative work must correspond to the specified theme of the competition.
• It must be completed in an individual style (originality and personal artistic expression are required).
• The work may be created on any material (drawing paper, canvas, etc.) and using any technique (oil, watercolor, gouache, colored pencils).

CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION:

• Submitted works must be digitized in JPG, DOC, or MP4 format.
• To confirm the authenticity of the submitted work, participants must also send several photos of the drawing process, including images showing the potential participant during the creative process.

SUMMARIZING RESULTS, ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS, AND AWARDING:

• The jury and members of the competition committee will determine the winners based on the results of the competition.
• The final decision of the jury is final and not subject to revision.
• Winners who take prize places will be awarded diplomas of I, II, and III degrees; their supervisors will receive certificates of appreciation.
• All fields in Appendix 1 of the competition application must be completed in full.
