A total of 212 essays were submitted to the contest from the cities of Astana, Almaty, Oral, Atyrau, Shymkent, Turkistan, Kyzylorda, Karaganda, Kostanay, Petropavl, and Kokshetau, as well as from the Kyzylorda, Karaganda, Akmola, East Kazakhstan, and West Kazakhstan regions, and districts of North Kazakhstan Region (G. Musrepov, Kyzylzhar, and Aiyrtau districts).

In order to ensure a fair selection of awardees, it was decided to form two jury panels. In the first panel, staff members of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” reviewed all 212 submissions and selected 101 works, including 63 in Kazakh and 38 in Russian, which advanced to the next stage.

At the second stage, the students’ works were evaluated by an independent jury consisting of historians and philologists from the village of Kishkenekol (Ualikhanov District), who determined the winners of the contest (Grand Prix, First, Second, and Third places).

The jury members—Zhuldyz Khasenova, Dauren Kabdualiyev, Elmira Zhauarova, Kalimash Gabbasova, Arslan Sultanov, and Olzhas Kanzhigalin—express their sincere gratitude for their high professionalism and valuable assistance.
