Botai-culture of the Great Steppe
The Botai culture is one of the greatest legacies of the Great Steppe. It was here that archaeologists discovered evidence of one of humanity's most significant achievements—the early domestication of the horse. Excavations have revealed ancient dwellings, pottery, tools, horse remains, and many unique artifacts that tell the story of people who lived more than 5,500 years ago. Botai is a place where history comes to life and is preserved for future generations.
