On January 21, the Botai Museum-Reserve held a field exhibition «Botai-the Great Steppe: Honest Labor and the Origins of Civilization» for 5th grade students of the secondary school of Krasny Yar village.
The children were already familiar with the Botai culture from the pages of textbooks and books, and today they got a unique opportunity to see authentic archaeological exhibits of the Chalcolithic era firsthand.
During the event, students were shown a video about the history of the Botai settlement, told about the importance of this culture for world history, about the first dwellings and the early domestication of the horse.
The exhibition aroused great interest, a lot of questions and became an important step in shaping children's interest in the history and cultural heritage of their native land.
