On October 23, 2025, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Esik" hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference "VI Esik Readings" on the topic: "International research in the field of archeology: experience, results and priorities."

The event was held jointly with the Archaeological Institute of Shaanxi Province (Xi'an, People's Republic of China) and was dedicated to three significant dates at once: the 55th anniversary of the discovery of the Golden Man, the 15th anniversary of the creation of the museum-reserve "Esik" and the 90th anniversary of the archaeologist, scientist Bekmukhanbet Nurmukhanbetov.

The presentation of the monograph "Rakhat archaeological complex" and the guide to the museum-reserve "Esik", published in Chinese, took place within the framework of the conference.

The event was attended by representatives of the Botai Museum-Reserve: Director S.K. Amiirova, curator of funds Almaganbetova M.S. and Chief Inspector for Monument Protection V.A. Iskrizhitsky.

D.V. Toktarov, a junior researcher at the Botai Museum-Reserve, made a presentation on "Some results of international expeditions to the monuments of Botai culture," in which he highlighted the results of joint archaeological research and emphasized the importance of Botai culture in the study of the ancient history of Kazakhstan.
