Dear friends,

We would like to remind you that the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai,” aiming to popularize the unique archaeological site of the Botai culture among school students, is holding the Republican essay competition “Botai – A Journey Through the Millennium,” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A total of 83 essays were submitted from the cities of Nur-Sultan, Kyzylorda, Petropavlovsk, Kokshetau, as well as from Kyzylorda region and districts of North Kazakhstan region (G. Musrepov, Kyzylzhar, Mamlyut, Ualikhanov, and Ayirtau districts). The participants’ works were published on the official website of the museum-reserve and on its social media pages.

To ensure a fair selection of awardees, it was decided to form two judging panels. At the first stage, the jury, consisting of staff from the “Botai” museum-reserve, selected 40 essays from the 83 entries to advance to the second round. At this stage, the students’ works will be evaluated by historians and philologists from the university, who will determine the winners of the competition (Grand Prize, I, II, and III places).

We also inform you that, on the eve of the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an award ceremony for the participants will be held on the ZOOM platform. The exact time will be announced in advance.
