
The Botai Museum-Reserve continues its “Expert’s View” series — a collection of video interviews with leading Kazakhstani scholars and archaeologists dedicated to the history and archaeological heritage of Kazakhstan.
The guest of this new episode is Talgat Bazarbayevich Mamirov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Leading Researcher at the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, and archaeologist.
During the interview, we discussed the significance of the Botai culture for world civilization and the archaeology of Kazakhstan, the contribution of researchers from the North Kazakhstan Archaeological Expedition to the study of Botai, as well as the unique tools discovered at the settlement.
Special attention was given to current research directions and future prospects for studying the Botai culture, as well as the key challenges facing archaeologists today.
Talgat Mamirov also shared valuable advice for young researchers who are beginning their journey in archaeology and the study of the ancient history of Kazakhstan.
