Excursion

Yesterday, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Botai" welcomed guests from Karaganda for an educational guided tour.

The visitors explored the unique Botai culture, learned about the earliest evidence of horse domestication, and discovered remarkable archaeological artifacts. They were impressed to learn that Kazakhstan is home to such an outstanding cultural heritage of global significance.

One of the most fascinating exhibits for the group was the skull bearing evidence of trepanation. As many of the visitors were medical doctors, they showed great professional interest in this remarkable archaeological find, which reflects the advanced medical knowledge of ancient people.

Such visits play an important role in promoting Kazakhstan's rich historical and cultural heritage and inspiring greater interest in the history of the Great Steppe.
