On March 31, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” held the Republican Model Competition “Botai — Culture of the Great Steppe” at the House of Culture of the Aiyrtau District.

The competition was announced on January 20, 2026, and today the results were summed up. A total of 33 participants took part, including 20 in person and 13 online, presenting their projects.

The goal of the competition was to promote Kazakhstan’s historical and cultural heritage through the study and creative interpretation of Botai culture, to develop the research and creative abilities of participants, and to foster interest in the history of their native land.

Participants were divided into three categories:

• Younger grades
• Senior grades and university students
• History enthusiasts

Competition results:

Category 1 (Younger grades):

• 1st place — Shamshетden Sanzhar (Kyzylzhar District)
• 2nd place — Kuanyshbay Yerlan (Karasev Secondary School)
• 3rd place — Kabdol Miras, Boranbay Khadija (Shukurlyk School)

Category 2 (Senior grades and students):

• 1st place — Titova Evelina, Rufullaeva Sabina (College of NAO “Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov”)
• 2nd place — Kim Nikita (Rudny School)
• 3rd place — Students of the History Department, North Kazakhstan State University named after M. Kozybaev

Category 3 (History enthusiasts):

• 1st place — Musin Askar (Michurinsk School)
