Botai culture, the culture of the tribes of Northern Kazakhstan of the Eneolithic era

Botai culture, the culture of the tribes of Northern Kazakhstan of the Eneolithic era. It is located 1.5 km South-East of the village of Nikolskoye, Ayyrtau district, North Kazakhstan region. In 1981-1983, an archaeological expedition of the North Kazakhstan University led by Professor Viktor Seibert discovered the remains of a settlement of 158 structures, with a total area of 15 hectares. During the entire main period of its existence, which lasted for several centuries, at least 250 dwellings were built by ancient people at the Botai settlement. The area of semi-underground dwellings was 20-70 square meters. They were located in groups, often adjacent to each other and, in addition, some were connected by passages. All buildings are divided into residential and utility
